You all know how much I love to reuse and recycle items. I love being able to transform something old into something new again. So I have the cutest vase DIY to add a touch of sparkle to your table this holiday season. I had some empty Monica Potter Home candle vessels in my craft room and decided to make glitter vases for the house. This is the easiest craft ever and it really adds such a nice shimmer to any flower arrangement. Here’s how you do it.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Monica Potter Home candle vessel or glass jar
  • Glitter
  • Mod Podge
  • Sponge brush

Start by applying a thick coat of Mod Podge to the entire glass jar. I did this over a plate to catch any extra glitter preventing my kitchen floor turning into a disco ball. I really put a lot of mod podge at the base of the jar, as I wanted it to look like stacked snow.

When the jar is completely covered with mod podge, begin pouring the glitter over the entire vessel. Let it dry.

Once it was dry I repeated the process to really get a thick coat of glitter on the jar. I let it dry again and then it was time to make some arrangements.

I love white hydrangeas with pine and berry accents. Feel free to customize the color of the glitter…silver or red would be nice as well. I wanted to go for a muted snow like feel. Love how they turned out and am excited to use them all winter long.
