I recently went to a craft show with a friend of mine and got this idea from one of the booths at the show. It’s an expensive craft to make and I love how you can customize the coasters for any reason, season or event. I decided to make shamrock coasters for St. Patrick’s Day.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Coaster base (I purchased wood squares at my local craft store)
  • Decorative paper (you could also use photos or stickers or whatever you can think up)
  • Mod Podge
  • Sponge brush

Lay the coaster base on the backside of the paper and trace out the coaster. Cut the paper to fit perfectly on the coaster base. Spread a thin even layer of mod podge to the coaster.

Carefully place the paper over the coaster and allow it to dry. Once the paper is set, apply another even thin coat on top of the paper to seal the paper.

Once dry, your coasters are ready to use.
