I love having fresh flowers in my home. They make me happy and can make any space warm and welcoming. You all know how I try to reduce, reuse and recycle, so I often will repurpose my MPH candle jars as flower vases. I like to make small arrangements for a bedside table, bathroom or the desk in my office. The MPH candle jars are perfect for these arrangements because the vessel is glass and small. During the holidays, I like to spruce up the jars with the theme of the holiday. Since St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner, I decided to spruce up my candle jars by painting shamrocks all over the jar. You could do this for any holiday… Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July etc. Have fun with these and get creative.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
- MPH candle jar
- Gold and green sharpies
- Flowers
Using a green or gold sharpie paint pen, begin drawing shamrocks all over the jar. I varied the sizes of the shamrocks with some larger ones and smaller ones.
You can alternate colors or even include a rainbow with a pot of gold. I kept mine simple with all green shamrocks around the entire jar.
A little tip… draw 3 hearts that connect at the bottom and you will have uniformed shamrocks.
Once you are done, add water and flowers and voila… a Shamrock floral arrangement.
