Here’s what you need:
- Cardboard
- Pencil
- Ribbon (to hang the heart from)
- Heart shape cookie cutter
- Scissors
- Fabric
- Spray adhesive
- Lavender essential oil
- Monica Potter Home Lavender Mist

With your heart shape and a pencil, trace the shapes onto the piece of cardboard (I used a cardboard insert from a shipping box.)
Cut the heart out and spray the surface with spray adhesive.
Attach the ribbon to one side of the heart and cover it with the fabric. The first heart that I did, I didn’t trim the fabric to the size of the cardboard and trimmed it once the fabric was glued. I found it a tad challenging to get the fabric even with the edges of the cardboard. So for the next heart, I cut a heart shape out of the fabric, measuring the same size as the cardboard and that process was much easier- so that’s how I suggest doing it.
Once it is dry, flip the heart over and repeat the steps to the other side.
Once you have your shape cut out, all you have to do is add a few drops of essential oil and a few sprays of the Monica Potter Home Lavender Mist and your car air freshener is ready to use.
I keep a bottle of the Lavender Mist in my car and spritz it onto the heart when I get into the car. It’s a great and natural way to scent your car.
