It’s no secret that I love lavender. I have it planted everywhere in my garden. I love to cook with it, make floral arrangements for my house and I especially love to make body scrubs and bath salts with it. I love taking bubble baths and salt soaks after a long day, so I thought, why not combine the two together and see what happens. Well…let me tell you, this recipe turned out amazing. Guys, seriously, you need to try this. I have used this recipe non-stop since making it and I hope you give it a try. It’s the perfect way to end a stressful day and soak your worries away.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 6 1/2 cups kosher or epsom salt
  • 1 cup lavender scented body wash
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
  • 3/4 cup dried lavender
  • 2-3 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 sheet aluminum foil
  • 1 baking sheet
  • MPH candle jar

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix.

On an aluminum foil lined baking sheet, spread the salt mixture out into a thin layer.

Place in the oven on low at 250 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let the salt mixture dry completely.

Once it is dry, stir the mixture and store them into a sealable jar. Since I love upcycling products, I used a clean MPH candle jar to store my bubble salts. It looks adorable on my bathroom counter and I can reuse the same jar over and over again.

To use, simply scoop out some salts into warm running water, light a MPH lavender essential oil candle and soak away!
